The City of Albany proposes to rezone Lot 5780 Down Road South, Drome from Priority Agriculture to Special Use No. 26 to facilitate the development of the Albany Motorsport Park. Development and use of the Motorsport Park is required to be in accordance with the conditions specified in Schedule 4 of the scheme, the Albany Motorsport Park Precinct Plan and approved management plans for Noise, Water, Hydrocarbons, Waste, Dust, Acid Sulphate Soils, Protected Exclusion Zone, Decommissioning and Construction.
The City proposes to rezone and reserve Lot 105 Frenchman Bay Road Big Grove from ‘Public Use’ to ‘Future Urban’ and ‘Parks and Recreation’.
Transfer of approximately 5,515 hectares of land from a local reserve – Recreation to the Rural zone.
The EPA will provide strategic advice to the Minister for Environment on the potential cumulative impacts of the activities and developments proposed for Exmouth Gulf. The assessment periods for Subsea 7‘s Learmonth Pipeline Fabrication Facility proposal and the Shire of Exmouth’s rezoning proposal will be extended so that the findings of this environmental study can be fully considered.
The Shire of Exmouth proposes Amendment 1 to rezone part of lots 223, 234, 235 and 1586 Minilya-Exmouth Road, Learmonth from 'Rural' and 'Foreshore Reserve' to 'Special Use 10' to facilitate the development of a pipeline fabrication facility (Learmonth Pipeline Fabrication Facility). The scheme amendment is being assessed on aspects that relate to the proposed change in zoning of the land.
The public review process for the scheme amendment is managed by the Shire of Exmouth and the review period will run from 2 October 2019 until the 30 November 2019. Amendment 132 proposes to amend the ‘Special Use Zone 6’ map and text to reflect the Environmental Protection (Western Swamp Tortoise Habitat) Policy 2011 policy area and requirements, with most lots be rezoned from ‘General Rural’ to the ‘Special Use Zone 6’. Lot 51 Almeria Parade, Lot 2 and 23 Apple Street and Lot 43 Great Northern Highway, Upper Swan have been omitted from the ‘Special Use Zone 6’ and will remain in the ‘General Rural’ zone.
The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River proposes to add provisions to Schedule 7 of its scheme text to allow for the subdivision of 2 adjacent Rural Residential zoned lots into 1 ha lots. At present the minimum lot size permitted is 3 ha.
The City of Armadale proposes to. zone and reserve land within the Forrestdale Business
Park East Precinct. Scheme Amendment 107 has been initiated in preparation for the future resumption of planning control from the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority.
The City of Kalamunda proposes to rezone Lot 112 (280) Holmes Road and Lot 14 (323)
Hawtin Road, Forrestfield from Special Rural to Special Use and insert additional site-specific development conditions into Schedule 4 of the scheme.
The proposed scheme amendment proposes to rezone Lot 221 Lakes Road and parts of Lot
400 Paterson Road, Nambeelup from Rural to Industrial.
The Western Australian Planning Commission proposes to rezone approximately 118
hectares of land from the Rural zone to the Urban Deferred zone to facilitate future urban
development.
