The proposal is to construct a nominal 260MW peaking power plant, consisting of: two open cycle air-cooled gas turbine generator sets; standby liquid fuel storage (1.5ML of ultra low sulphur diesel); and ancillary buildings and plant. The plant will predominantly use natural gas, and will operate as a peaking plant for meeting short duration, high power demands for electricity.
