The proponent, Shark Bay Resources Pty Ltd, operates two solar salt fields and an associated port facility at Useless Loop in the Shark Bay area of Western Australia. The proposal is to construct a new series (F series) of crystallizer ponds at the northern edge of the existing Shark Bay Salt crystallizers in Useless Loop, Shark Bay.
