This proposal is for the first of two stages of long-term shellsand dredging, involving the continuation of shellsand extraction from specific locations on Success Bank, Parmelia Bank and West Success Bank, Owen Anchorage. Cone Bay is within the Buccaneer Archipelago approximately 215 kilometres (km) north-northeast of Broome in the north-west of Western Australia. Cone Bay is approximately 20 km long and 6.5 km wide near its west-facing opening and is fringed by sandstone cliffs on both sides.
