Worsley Alumina Pty Ltd (Worsley) proposes to upgrade the Worsley refinery in order to increase production to 4.4 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa). The initial proposal by Worsley to develop the Boddington Gold Mine approximately 12km north-west of the town of Boddington was the subject of an EPA evaluation in 1985 (EPA 1985). The proposal is to develop three small ore bodies to the east of the main ore body at the Boddington Gold Mine.
