The Intractable Waste Disposal Facility (IWDF) is 75km north-east of Koolyanobbing and approximately 53km north-east of Jaurdi Station Homestead (unoccupied). The former Gasworks site at East Perth was used for the production of gas from coal between 1922 and 1971.
