The proposal by BHP Iron Ore (Jimblebar) Pty Ltd (the proponent) involves an increase in the mining rate from five to eight million tonnes per annum, and the expansion of both the scree and bedrock mining areas. Boddington gold mine - Extended basement operation and changes to existing environmental conditions

The initial proposal by Worsley to develop the Boddington Gold Mine approximately 12km north-west of the town of Boddington was the subject of an EPA evaluation in 1985 (EPA 1985). An Environmental Management Programme was prepared and submitted in 1987 and the mine was commissioned in July 1987. Mining of titanium minerals, Yarloop

The proposal is to develop a titanium minerals mine on Mining Leases 70/49, 70/937 and 70/938 and to mine an ore body located on Reserve 31900 and private property within the Shire of Harvey. The ore body consists of two occurrences of heavy mineral concentrate separated by the Waterous Formation Creek, and adjacent to Black Rock Road. Read more...

Albany Highway Bedfordale Hill section duplication

Main Roads Western Australia proposes to reconstruct the existing two lanes into a four lane carriageway at the Bedfordale Hill section of Albany Highway between the end of the existing dual carriageway and the road train assembly area in the City of Armadale. The earthworks for the proposed carriageway encroach onto Bungendore Park which is part of System 6 Recommendation MSO - Darling Scarp. The proposal also involves the deviation of Neerigen Brook in two locations. Read more...

Mining of gypsum from Chinocup A Class Nature Reserve, Pingrup

Mr P G Patterson proposes to mine gypsum sand from the dunes along the southern edge of Lake Chinocup, within the Chinocup A Class Nature Reserve. Lake Chinocup is 25km east of Nyabing, the local government centre for the Shire of Kent, and 10km west of Pingrup. Read more...
