Perdaman Urea Project

Perdaman Chemicals and Fertilisers Pty Ltd intends to construct and operate a urea plant with a production capacity of approximately 2 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) on Sites C and F within the Burrup Strategic Industrial Area (SIA) on the Burrup Peninsula. Both sites are located adjacent to the Murujuga National Park. Robe River Mining Co. proposes to develop the West Angelas C, D and G iron ore deposits to sustain production at the existing West Angelas iron ore operations. Manuwarra Red Dog Highway – Revised Proposal

In 1998 Main Roads Western Australia (Main Roads) referred Stages 2, 3 and 4 of the Karratha – Tom Price Road, now called the Manuwarra Red Dog Highway (the Original Proposal), to the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).  The EPA assessed the Original Proposal and published EPA Report 1159. Brockman Syncline 4 Iron Ore Project – Marra Mambas Proposal

Hamersley Iron Pty Limited propose to expand its existing Brockman 4 Syncline Iron Ore Mine. The expansion would include further clearing of up to 4,800 hectares and expand its current development envelope by 2,567 hectares. Eliwana Iron Ore Mine

Fortescue Metals Group Ltd proposes to develop the Eliwana Mine Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Eliwana Mine Project Area is located approximately 90 km west-northwest of Tom Price. Cloudbreak Life of Mine Expansion

The existing mine includes open pit strip mining, backfilling of pits, progressive rehabilitation and ore processing. West Pilbara Iron Ore Project Stage 1 - Mine and Rail

The proposal is to develop eight iron ore deposits at five locations, between 35 and 85 kilometres (km) south of Pannawonica. A heavy-haulage railway approximately 285 km in length would be developed to connect the mine area with a port to be constructed at Anketell Point, 25 km north-east of Karratha. Utah Point Berth Project (Stage B)

The Utah Point Berth Project consists of two separate stages: Stage A: Dredging and Reclamation; and Stage B: Construction and Operation. The Minister for Environment requested the EPA inquire into the matter of changing the implementation conditions relating to the Orebody 18 Iron Ore Mine proposal, particularly the matter of setting a condition on the proposal that would require environmental offsets for the clearing of native vegetation. Ammonia Plant, Burrup Peninsula

The proposal is to construct and operate an ammonia plant on the Burrup Peninsula, approximately 1300 kilometres north of Perth. The selected project site is located in the King Bay-Hearson Cove Industrial Area and is approximately 6 and 10 kilometres from the towns of Dampier and Karratha respectively.
