Satellite gold roaster near Kalgoorlie

The proposal is to construct and operate a new concentrate roasting facility 17 km north north-west of the Kalgoorlie Town Centre. The proposed roaster would be required to treat approximately 190 000 tonnes per annum of concentrate. This would result in the production of 16 000 kg/hr of sulphur dioxide. The proposal is for a wool scouring plant at Bakers Hill, approximately 60 km east of Perth. The proposal involves production of 5 700 tonnes of scoured wool per year, initially, followed later by top making, spinning and knitting facilities. The proposed site is 65 hectares in area, has no dwellings and is deemed suitable by appropriate local authorities. McCamey's Monster iron ore proposal

The proposal is to mine high grade iron ore from a scree and erosion fan located south of McCamey's Monster Hill. The initial output in the first year will be 3 million tonnes which will increase to 5 million tonnes in the second year. The total tonnage over the life time of the project is 34.5 million tonnes. Proposed liquid waste treatment plant at Westfield

The Health Department, acting under instructions of the Cabinet Committee on Metropolitan Waste, has proposed a treatment plant for septic tank pumpout material and grease trap wastes, to be located at Westfield. The facility will enable the proper treatment of this material, and the discharge to sewer of the liquid effluent. Stage 1 is the construction of a plant to produce 30,000 tonnes/year (t/y) of various types of briquettes. The Environmental Protection Authority previously assessed a proposal by Prestige Bricks to establish a brickworks at the former Midland Abattoir site in Midland. The Coodanup Development is a proposal by Mezzanine Pty Ltd to develop a residential and boat haven complex on Cockburn Sound Location 16, being part lots 167 to 169. This land is situated on a strip that lies between the Serpentine River and the Peel Inlet at Coodanup, near Mandurah. Saladin Oilfield Development

The proposal is for the development of the Saladin offshore oilfield close to Thevenard Island, some 25 km NNW of Onslow. Production of light crude oil from the offshore wells would be transferred by pipeline to a treatment and storage facility on the island. This would involve the establishment of a dredge pond in existing mining pits from which a suction cutter dredge would progress along a prescribed mining path followed by a floating wet concentrator plant. The proposal is for a brick and tile plant at Malaga, approximately 12 km north-north-east of Perth, to produce 50 million bricks per year. The site is surrounded to the south and east by industrial, or proposed industrial, land. To the north is the proposed extension to the Ballajura residential estate and to the west a Parks and Recreation Reserve which backs on to the Koondoola residential area. Prestige Brick Proposed Brickworks - Midland Abattoir Site, Midland
