EPA Bulletins 1273 & 1274 - EPA reiterates its recommendation of acceptability for the Fimiston Gold Mine Operations Extension (Stage 3).
Summary: The Minister for the Environment directed the EPA to re-assess the EPA's advice and recommendations on KCGM's Fimiston Gold Mine Operations Extension proposal contained in Bulletins 1270 and 1271, as the Minister was concerned that there may have been a perception of bias and/or a conflict of interest because the former Chairman, Barry Carbon, had received payment from KCGM for some consultancy work carried out nine years previously.

EPA Bulletins 1262 & 1263 - EPA recommends against land clearing proposals
Summary: The Environmental Protection Authority has recommended against the clearing of two lots of native vegetation in the south west. The applicant in each case was Mr Brian Burns who proposed to clear the land for agriculture. One of the applications for clearing was for 1000 hectares in Jerramungup, and one for 779 hectares in Lake Grace.
