Summary:
Proposal to mine below the groundwater table at Koolyanobbing W2 pit by Portman Iron Ore Limited (PIOL) within the Windarling Range. The proponent is currently conducting mining operations at the Windarling Range Deposit W2 pit above the groundwater table. These operations were approved by the Western Australian and Commonwealth Ministers for the Environment and Heritage in 2003.
