The Florida Partnership is proposing to subdivide and construct the portion of Florida Beach Estate known as ‘Florida North’, which will create approximately 161 lots for residential development. The site is zoned for this purpose in the Peel Region Scheme and the City of Mandurah Town Planning Scheme. The Shire of Murray proposes to construct an approximate 650 metre section of Fiegert Road, Barragup in the vincinity of the Nambeelup Brook. Doyles Lime Service Pty Ltd proposes to develop a limestone and sand quarry on Lots 1001 and 1002 Preston Beach Road North, Preston Beach. The estimated resource is 1,000,000 tonnes of limestone extracted at 50,000 tonnes per year and 150,000 tonnes of sand, extracted at 10,000 tonnes per year.
