Environmental Protection Policies (EPP)

Environmental Protection Policies (EPPs) are statutory policies developed under Part III of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 (EP Act). They are whole-of-Government policies that are ratified by Parliament and have the force of law from the day they are published in the Western Australian Government Gazette. EPPs are developed, for instance, to establish environmental values and environmental quality objectives for a particular environment or component of the environment.
