Summary: This document supplements Report 14 and amplifies certain aspects of it. As its title implies, its purpose is to give a fuller understanding of the causes and nature of the eutrophication of the Peel-Harvey estuarine system, as evidenced by the excessive growth of algae in its waters. It is intended to fill in some of the areas that are treated somewhat superficially in the Report which aimed at a much wider audience than this more detailed statement.
